Publication of the week: Recognition, treatment and prevention of hypoglycaemia in the community

hypo_logo2.jpg'Recognition, treatment and prevention of hypoglycaemia in the community' is our ‘Publication of the week’ to coincide with our celebrations of Hypo Awareness Week.

This guidance document was developed to advise on the recognition, treatment and prevention of hypoglycaemia in the community in adults with diabetes mellitus. It is intended to serve as a helpful resource for a range of groups, including commissioners, designers of services and healthcare professionals.

The guidance was commissioned by NHS Diabetes and the recommendations have been developed by Training, Research and Education for Nurses in Diabetes (TREND-UK). Other diabetes organisations have been involved in the development of the guidance via a process of review.
