About the South Central area

The total population age of 0-18 year olds in South Central is 926,703 (2001 Census). There are approximately one in every 450 children under the age of 18 years in South Central with diabetes (RCPCH survey 2009), with the prevalence likely to increase by 70% over the next 10 years (Lancet 2009).
