North West Paediatric Diabetes Network - Dietetics and DSN resources
A service analysis of each trust is being completed to look at not only how the trusts meet the requirements of documents such as NICE guidelines and the NSF but also to consider staffing levels for the number of patients. This will be presented at the October meeting. A letter of support is being sent to each trust to ensure that all have a properly staffed service with an effective on-call service.
The aim of this work stream for the rest of the year has focused on how teams support schools:
For
all areas to outline how they plan to support schools in their care of diabetic
children; especially for newly diagnosed children.
