East of England Paediatric Diabetes Network
Vision
The East of England Paediatric Diabetes Network will work towards local needs, regional priorities and align with the national focus of caring for children and young people with diabetes. It will develop a manageable and effective network which provides engagement from all key stakeholders and inform the priorities set by the network which will enable regional sustainable outcomes to be delivered.

Locality Groups
Consisting of four smaller groups divided into the following geographic/administrative areas across the region:
1. Bedfordshire & Herts Group - Area Lead: Dr Heather Mitchell (Watford General)
- Lister Hospital, Stevenage
- QE2 Hospital, Welwyn Garden City
- Bedford Hospital
- Luton General Hospital
- Watford General Hospital
2. Cambridgeshire/Suffolk Group - Area Lead: Dr Nadeem Abdullah (Addenbrookes)
- Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge
- Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon
- Peterborough District General Hospital
- West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds
- Ipswich General Hospital
- The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow
3. Essex Group - Area Lead: Dr Birgit Van Meijgaarden (Basildon Hospital)
- Basildon and Thurrock Hospital
- Colchester General Hospital

4. Norfolk Group - Area Lead: Dr Vipan Datta (Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital)

Steering Committee
This group will be tasked with overseeing the delivery of change and improvement in paediatric diabetes services for the East of England. The group will represented be the network chair, network co-ordinator, NHS Diabetes programme manager; local group representatives, workstream leads and adult diabetelogy (currently Dr Peter Wincour (QE2, Welwyn GC) and Dr Gerry Rayman (Ipswich).
